You can control what information is shared with a nonprofit when making a donation by selecting your preferred privacy (anonymity) setting.
How do I set my donation privacy preferences:
- Navigate to the Donate page
- Search for and select your desired charity
- Enter your donation amount
- Under Donation Preferences, locate the Privacy (Anonymity) section
- Select your preferred option
- Complete your donation as usual
What are my Privacy (Anonymity) Options?
You can choose from the following levels of transparency:
- Full Transparency
- The nonprofit will receive your name, email address, and home address
- Partial Transparency
- The nonprofit will receive your name and email address only
- Complete Anonymity
- No donor information will be shared with the nonprofit
Additional Information
- Your selected privacy preference applies to the specific donation being made
- Selecting Complete Anonymity means the nonprofit will not be able to identify you as the donor
- For security and donor privacy, donor information is not included with mailed checks. Nonprofits can securely access donor details through the nonprofit portal based on your selected privacy setting
